Advantage Mackey™ Junior Tennis Director, Vince Mackey, brings his experience and a competitive edge to this exciting program. The classes offer on and off court training to compete in tennis. Students can expect tournament play and match preparation, junior rankings, fitness, conditioning and nutrition, and much more.
Advantage Children™ Tennis This is an introductory school-based, after-school tennis program with an on court and in classroom curriculum. Reading, writing and many other fun activities are incorporated into the program. Tennis teams and fun competition make learning tennis fun. Over 2,500 kids of all ages from the Pasadena Unified School District's LEARN Program have learned the basic fundamentals of tennis since the year 2000. Advantage Children™ targets school age children from 5 - 12 years of age. It is a feeder program into Advantage Mackey™ Junior Tennis for kids who desire to play tennis at the competitive level. This program is an enrichment program designed with an emphasis on the total well being of kids in athletics.
Advantage Youth™ Tennis This program was designed to provide information about tennis to students at the Middle and High School levels from ages 13 - 17 years. It is an extension of the Advantage Children™ program, which feeds into this program. The program encourages high school team tennis. Students are informed of academic requirements, physical fitness and conditioning, and learn discipline, school spirit and pride. This is also a feeder program into Advantage Mackey™.
Advantage Girls™ Tennis This is a program targeting girls from ages 5 - 17 years of age. Fitness, nutrition, mind, body and spirit are incorporated into the program. The program helps build confidence, self-esteem, and better peer relationships. Mom and daughter classes are available. The program is offered directly or through the YWCA, Pasadena Chapter.
